Call for volunteers

Volunteers are the minions who make a good WordCamp possible.

Volunteers help to set up the conference venue, meet and greet attendees, run the audio and video, keep an eye on the green room and the quiet room, support sponsors and exhibitors, sort the swag and lanyards, keep talks running on schedule, assist attendees, run around with microphones, man the desks, and do all the little things that make sure our attendees have a smooth and enjoyable day.

WordCamp volunteers need no previous experience. All you need is good organisational skills, energy, enthusiasm, the ability to think on your feet, and a love for the WordPress community.

You won’t be doing one thing all day (we’ll have you on a rota), and you can pause your volunteer duties to see any specific conference talks you want.

For your time and energy, you’ll get a t-shirt, you’ll be fed and watered, you’ll have really sore feet, and you’ll get first pick at the swag. You’ll come away with new friends and the great feeling that comes from helping the WordPress community to grow.

Interested? Fill out the form.

Please let us know when you might be available – for example, setting up the venue the night before the conference, or on one conference day only.

We will need you to arrive bright and early on the conference mornings, before the doors open to attendees, so please plan your travel accordingly.

Also, this is volunteer work, so we are unable to cover any travel and hotel expenses.

If you would like to volunteer don’t buy a ticket just yet, as volunteers get a free one.
