At WordCamp Edinburgh HQ we understand mystical creatures eat differently; so just as Dragons eat meat and Unicorns eat grass, we understand people eat differently too. Therefore, we will be providing a menu that caters for people that require Meat, Vegetarian, and Vegan options.
We are also aware some of these options are not suitable for everyone, and we are working with our caterer (Social Bite) to provide individual options where possible.
Saturday and Sunday will have virtually the same menu, however, there is variety to choose from.

I could not be given the exact ingredients of the Vegan option as it was a bespoke order, made especially for you. The food will be labelled on the day, so please check the ingredients. If you have ordered vegan food, there will be a salad behind the lunch counter.
The food is fully Vegan, as Vegan food should be!
Speciality for allergens:
We passed on your allergen information (the one put you put on the from when ordering your ticket) if you placed your order before 18th July, that was the final day that we could amend our catering order.
SocialBite have confirmed that they can meet your allergen requirements. If you have put allergen information on your form, there will be separated food with your name on, behind the lunch counter.
The kitchen does work with nuts so SocialBite could not guarantee 100% that things have not come in contact with nuts. If it’s a severe/airborne allergy to nuts the person will want to take care and eat at their discretion.
On a side note, if you do have serious anaphylactic allergies, please ensure you bring your prescribed prescription, in case of emergency. This includes for things like Bee stings.

We know that not everyone likes catering and sometimes you just might want to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. Fortunately Edinburgh has a plethora of options to choose from if you decide to eat out, and as we are located by Edinburgh Castle, there are dozens of restaurants within walking distance.
We will be providing drinks throughout the day with a selection of:

- Tea (Black, Green, Peppermint)
- Coffee (Caffeinated and Decaf)
- Cows Milk
If you require special Milk, such as Nut, Soy, or Goats, then please consider bringing your own if you cannot go without a Milk variant for a couple of days. Fridges are available. There is a Sainsbury’s Local at 102 West Port, the block behind CodeBase.
Likewise, If you are used to special sweeteners, such as Stevia, we recommend you bring that for yourself too.
